Detroit Red Wings Preview: Well we made it everyone. The season begins tonight. The Red Wings begin the season with some new faces. No Datsyuk, but Tomas Vanek, Frans Nielsen, and Steve Ott join the winged wheel. New assistant coaches join Blashill behind the bench. Will Tatar and Nyquist rebound from a dismal performance last year. Will Larkin handle the center responsibilities with a breeze or struggle? Will the defense actually play defense in front of the goalies? Will XO and Sproul have any significant impact to aid the blue line ? How long will Niklas Kronwall stay on the IR and how much does his knee have left? So many questions and Game 1 will just bring more and not enough answers.

Tampa Bay’s Outlook: Looking at what Tampa did last year without Stamkos in the playoffs was impressive. Yzerman has mastered the art of the GM role. He clearly has become the best GM in the league. Resigned Stamkos and Hedman during the off-season. Now right as the season beckons, he signs Kucherov to bridge deal and a healthy cap it to tap it off. (We know we just loved seeing Kucherov burying us consistently in the playoffs on the power play.) Ben Bishop is their starter for now, but we know is, time is coming to a close in Tampa but he is coming off a very strong year. The NHL seems to think there some rivalry brewing between the two as we have met in the playoffs in back to back years with Tampa as we know ousting us out. They are favorites to win the Cup and honestly right now this team is the strongest in my opinion. Their path to the Cup begins against our Wings.
