Griffins gameday report

The Grand Rapids Griffins return home for a 2 game homestand to face the Texas Stars.

The Griffins come into tonights game winning their last 3 and have record of 8-4. The Stars enter the game with a record of 7-5-1; losing 2 of their last 3.

Tyler Bertuzzi is expected to be back in the lineup after a 3 game stint with the Detroit Red Wings. Anthony Mantha is still with the Red Wings for the time being. The Red Wings will likely be calling on someone for their game Friday against the Washington Capitals due to the Darren Helm injury that is expected to sideline him for a little while.

AHL veteran and Griffins assistant captain Matthew Ford will be making his season debut this evening. He has been out since the beginning of the season with an injury. Last season he led the Bakersfield Condors with 27 goals. Jared Coreau will be getting the nod tonight in goal.

Game time is set for just after 7 p.m.
