Griffins gameday report

The Grand Rapids Griffins will be hosting the Texas Stars for the second game of a two game home stand. The Griffins won the first game on Wednesday by a score of 6-3.

Grand Rapids will look to extend their winning streak to five games. The Stars have dropped three of the last four games.

The Griffins will be without Tyler Bertuzzi who was called up by the Red Wings right after Wednesday’s game. He will be in the lineup for Darren Helm who suffered a dislocated shoulder during their loss to Tampa Bay on Tuesday. Helm is expected to miss 6 weeks. Anthony Mantha is still up with the Red Wings and will be in the lineup for the big club tonight.

Jared Coreau is getting the start in goal this evening. He is playing in his 12th game of the season.
