#FantasyFriday Trendy Tenders!

With Carey Price being the NHL’s early favorite of the Norris Trophy, it is safe to say that that the Montreal Canadiens are more than thankful for their netminder to continue throughout a healthy season. As we approach into the beginning of December, most teams if not already, are just nearing the 25 games played point. With key injuries to important goaltenders, and those who just missed the top 25 Fantasy Goalies, we will quickly go over who’s trending in the league. Sitting at the top of this list, the key netminder Carey Price sits at only 2 losses in regulation and another in OT, over the course of the season with his return out of his 16 games played. If you own him, DO NOT TRADE HIM and remember to KEEP HIM IN YOUR LINEUP. Price continues to provide fantasy owners with the goalie starts, save percentages (currently at .947), and wins (depending on what fantasy platform you chose to play on). Price’s hot streak continues to allow only 1.68 goals against this season. The Montreal goaltender, with a solid defensive front has allowed their team to capitalize on the scoring front with a +18 goal differential. This differential is just behind the booming Columbus Blue Jackets with a +20 goal differential, that a month ago destroyed the backup goaltender from Montreal 10-0!

Aside from the #1 goalie, the two that sit at the top 3 remain the same since NHL’s last rank. These goalies being, Tuukka Rask from the Boston Bruins, and Devan Dubnyk of the Minnesota Wild. Rask the 29 year old goalie sits at a .938 save percentage, and 1.64 goals against. With 12 wins out of 17 starts, Rask is left with 4 losses in regulation and 1 in OT. The Boston goaltender has helped their club at 3rd in the Atlantic with 27 points in the Atlantic Division. Devan Dubnyk being the league’s leader in shutouts at 4, the Wid’s go-to goalie has been off and on with being consistent this season. Aside from his 4 shutouts, Dubnyk holds a .946 save percentage along with 1.66 goals against. Out with the top 3 goaltenders I will provide you with the NHL’s list of top 25 goaltenders, with notes on some of them.
