Griffins gameday report

The Griffins come into tonights contest on a 6 game point streak and have scored a power play goal in 12 consecutive games.

The Griffins will host another division rival tonight in the Chicago Wolves. The last time these two teams met up, the Wolves doubled up the Griffins 4-2.

The Griffins are 2-1 against the Wolves this season. The Wolves come into the game tonight on a three game winning streak. Former Griffin Landon Ferraro has played a big part in that scoring point in six straight games.

Jared Coreau and Tomas Nosek were assigned back to the Griffins this morning. Nosek is expected to be in the lineup while Coreau will be given the day off.

Cal Heeter is expected to get the start in net for his second game with the Griffins.In his first AHL game in almost two years, Heeter stopped 33 of 34 shots for in a 4-1 Griffins victory over the Rockford IceHogs.

Ben Street is expected to be back in the lineup after his wife gave birth to their first child.

Dan Renouf and Colin Campbell are nursing lower body injuries and will be game time decisions for the Griffins. They both have missed the last three games.

The puck will drop just after 7 p.m. for tonight’s game.
