Griffins Game Day Report

Although the Griffins have dropped the last four games, they are still on top of the Central Division standings. Tonight, the Griffins must win or they will find themselves in second place.

The Griffins came out into the game last night sluggish and could not take advantage of a 5-on-3 power play early on. That is not to take away from the outstanding play of Moose goaltender Eric Comrie. He stopped 35 of 36 shots and helped the Moose beat Grand Rapids 3-1.

The same two teams will meet again tonight in Winnipeg. Eric Comrie was recalled by the Jets last night after his outstanding performance in net.

Ben Street, Tomas Nosek, and Robbie Russo remain on recall with the Detroit Red Wings. Tyler Bertuzzi remains in Grand Rapids nursing an injury.

The Griffins are getting some reinforcements back tonight. Evgeny Svechnikov will be back in the lineup for the Griffins after playing for the Red Wings for the past couple of games. Matt Lorito did return to the lineup last night and scored the only goal for Grand Rapids. Eric Tangradi will be a game time decision.

Jared Coreau will get the start in net once again. Filip Hronek will be back in the lineup tonight.

The game is set for an 8 p.m. puck drop. Listen in on WOOD Radio.
