The date has been set for training camp. On Wednesday afternoon, the Red Wings released their schedule for training camp. Camp will open on September 14th with their annual Golf tournament, but the team won’t begin on ice activities until September 15th. The camp will conclude on September 18th for the Red and White Scrimmage before the Red Wings begin their pre-season schedule.
Last season Red Wings camp was saw more players fighting for a spot on the team with certain key players away for the World Cup of Hockey tournament taking place. This year we’ll see just about everyone at training camp with certain prospects from Grand Rapids fighting for a spot on the Wings roster at camp. Red Wings players, prospects, and Try out players will be split into three teams during camp- Team Howe, Lindsay, and Delvecchio. Training camp rosters will be released at a later time.
Training Camp will take place in Traverse City, Michigan at Centre Ice Arena. Fans will be allowed to attend training camp and have a chance to meet their favorite players. Tickets can be found exclusively through the Centre Ice Arena Website. They’ll also be sold at the arena on a first come-first serve basis.
