After 8 seasons with Detroit, Drew Miller is moving on with a new chapter in his career.
The 33 year old, a Michigan State alum, is leaving his hometown team in hopes of making it in Chicago. He received a professional tryout from the Blackhawks and will join them in their training camp.
In his 571 NHL games, Miller has 62 goals and 60 assists between the clubs in Anaheim, Tampa and Detroit. He also played a few games in the AHL with Grand Rapids this year.
With Hossa not playing and a tight cap, Chicago desperately needs good bottom 6 players. Miller has played most of his career on the bottom lines and could be a useful fit.
